Who I am ( Sohaib Thiab - Product Manager Expert)

A seasoned product leader recognised for entrepreneurial thinking and a pragmatic, data-driven approach to delivering growth at scale. Expertise in building and scaling high performing teams across e-commerce, travel & OTA'a, SAAS, fintech, two-sided marketplaces & mobile gaming in startups and large organisations alike. Strong track record in start-ups a co-founder, business builder and media spokesperson:
- Currently serving as part of the SLT at Eneco (One of the largest green energy providers in the Netherlands and Belgium) as Director of Product responsible for the product management and design functions with 42FTE in my team.
- Was the CPO at Foodics, a series C company ($170M in the last round lead by Prosus/Naspers and Sequoia) and one of the leading SAAS and fintech companies in the Middle East in the food tech space. Built the product management, design and marketing functions in a hybrid team setup with teams in Amsterdam, Amman, Riyadh and Cairo.
- Worked in Booking.com's product team for almost 5 years in multiple roles, solving complicated traveler and hotel partner pain points (blocked availability, payments, invalid credit cards, cancellations) and developing solutions that contributed in the tens of millions to the company's top line and bottom line revenue.
- CPO at 7awi building some of the top media destination in the Middle East and collectively reaching 20+ million unique users per month.
- Product advisor to Tamatem Games, the Middle East's leading mobile game publisher as well as a number of other tech startups.
- Co-founded Wizards Productions, one of Jordan's 1st gaming studios in 2008, raised multiple rounds of funding from regional investors and VC's.
- Co-founded the first Arabic social network with close to 1 million users. Maktoob (which was later acquired by Yahoo) acquired 'Faye3.com' the first Arabic social network that won the Queen Rania award for entrepreneurship in 2007 and merged it into its existing products to create 'Maktoob friends'. A social network Sohaib managed and grew to become the largest product in Maktoob. - Founded a gaming portal in 2005 which was acquired by d1g.com in 2006.
